Why is the Patagonia R3 good, alright, annoying or shit?:

To use a quote from the Blackadder the butler ….. “utter crap”

I researched for months and finally took the plunge to buy the Patagonia R3 one of the most expensive suits on the market after believing all the guff spouted by various websites

1. Expensive
2. Heavy – merino wool is heavy

How is the fit?

     3. At first tight but the suit stretched and after a season felt loose

     4. Flushing via the neck and leaking seams …. never pleasant, less so having paid through the nose for the experience 

     5. Reluctant after sales – took the suit back, after explaining the faults / complaining, (eventually in front of other customers) they reluctantly swapped the suit for a model           with a modified neck fitting. Apparently problems had already been reported but the problems were still apparent. Was told no chance of any further exchanges

     6. Seams are leaking, neck, wrist and ankle cuffs have all frayed badly

Would you buy another when this one falls apart?:

Never and I strongly advise people to steer clear of these

This is not just me – every other Patagonia customer I’ve met complain about their suits
